The day has come. You’ve prepared, you’ve spent heaps of cash, you’ve watched video after video after video on rat care, and you’ve set up a date to pick out your rats with the breeder. What can you expect? What will this look like? How will the rats be when you meet them for the first time?

First, congratulations! This is a very exciting day. I hope you have balloons and confetti and streamers and everything else a good welcome home party needs. Most of all, I hope your rats feel right at home when you put them in their enclosure for the first time.
